“Planning a wedding in Florida when you live in Hawaii is an extremely daunting task. I knew I needed help and my gut told me within minutes of talking to Katie that she and her team were exactly what I was looking for. Beyond knowing I wanted blue hydrangeas and a complimenting color palette, I didn’t have a lot of expectations for design. After answering some “get to know you” style questions we met with Katie for a three day whirlwind of vendor meetings. With her help and meticulously prepared design board (that included samples when possible!), we settled on nearly every major design decision in one meeting and left ready to sign all of our vendor contracts.

Seeing all of those pieces come to life on the day of was beyond what I ever could have imagined. A few days before my wedding, a contract dispute with my most major vendor arose. What could have been a huge headache and taken up the limited time I had with out-of-town guests was a complete non-issue thanks to Katie. The peace of mind she provided us was invaluable and when I think back on the days leading up, I am so grateful that all we had to think about was getting married. :)

“Hiring a wedding planner was the first thing that I did once I got engaged. There was no question that I would need help, and it took about 3 seconds to decide to reach out to Katie. Having known her once upon a time in a professional setting when I worked for her (so therefore knowing firsthand her attention to detail and just how hard she works!) and looking at her beautiful portfolio online (gorgeous, right?), I knew that she was the one. From our first meeting together, I knew we had made the right decision. During that first meeting, Katie and her colleague, Em, were talking about things that I hadn’t considered or even known about. Somewhere along the line I also tasked Katie with the role of our florist (another brilliant decision!).

My engagement was about a year a half; in the beginning, communication was pretty consistent, died down for a bit (since there wasn’t much to do!), and then picked right back up in the months leading up to the day. I cannot emphasize how little stress I experienced the day of my wedding because of Katie and Em. “I met Katie at a wedding expo over a year before my wedding. None of the other wedding coordinators fit my style or vision of what I imagined my wedding day would look like and I was feeling pretty discouraged until I turned the corner and saw the most adorable booth and Katie’s smiling face behind it. From our very first interaction, I felt like I was talking wedding details with a friend, not someone who was trying to get my business. Our very first meeting, prior to even hiring her was incredibly detailed and we covered things that I hadn’t even thought of yet. I knew instantly that Katie was genuine and a true professional. The morning of my wedding, I woke up feeling completely calm and did not have to worry about one single detail because I knew Katie and Em had everything under control – the entire day was totally flawless! After my first look photos which were taken outside, the bottom of my dress had gotten dirty. The next thing I knew; Katie was by my side with baby powder making my dress look brand new again! She is incredibly prepared and has a solution for every problem! Towards the end of the wedding, Katie and Em even made a trip to our hotel room to deliver our gifts (and some left over food and wedding cake :)) and handled packing up and taking care of our décor and personal items so that we could enjoy the rest of the night with our friends and family.

I formulated a budget, selected vendors, and bought my dress.
